I was born in Beacon, NY, the oldest of three children. My youth was spent in Dutchess County, NY, actively participating in scholastics, soccer and track. I received a Congressional Appointment to the USMA, West Point, and finished my undergraduate degree at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida.

My first career, in retail management, started with me in Miami and brought me to Northern Virginia. I have worked for two different large department store chains. Besides my positions as manager and buyer, I had a stint doing statistics and strategic planning for the senior management team, reporting to the president.

I moved my family to Fairfax County in 1984 and have lived here happily ever since. I always had an interest in real estate and did some investing on my own. In early 2001, I decided to make residential real estate my full time career.

We have three boys, one working in the computer industry, one at GMU majoring in mathematics and one at Westfield High School.

My interests include bicycling, scouting, and youth soccer. I have been involved with the PPTC and Reston Bicycle Clubs, MS Society of Greater Washington, Troop and Pack 158 Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts, and the Chantilly Youth Association.

I have donated my time to these endeavors in various leadership/committee positions including Coach, Publicity Chair, Route Planning Chair, and Ride Leader. I have also started some new networks with the Sons of Italy, Italia Mia lodge in South Riding and the Dulles chapter of the AARP.
